Problems Identifiable by the OAE Module
The Outdoor Air Economizer (OAE) diagnostic module can diagnose the following problems.1) Operating as expected -- no errors (White)
- ventilation and economizer OK
- ventilation OK
- zero ventilation is OK when unoccupied
- missing/invalid or indeterminate condition, such as when outdoor- and return-air temperatures are equal
- return-air and outside-air temperatures are equal
- bad WBD setup
- missing supply fan on/off data
- mixed-air temperature is outside the expected range
- outside-air temperature is outside the expected range
- return-air temperature is outside the expected range
- missing mixed-air temperature
- missing outside-air temperature
- missing return-air temperature
- ventilation OK, but cannot diagnose economizer with current WBD setup
- ventilation OK, but cannot diagnose economizer because data are missing
- ventilation OK, but incomplete economizer operation check
- ventilation and economizer OK, but can’t check economizer temperature control
- no ventilation is being supplied
- inadequate ventilation being supplied
- too much ventilation during cooling mode
- too much ventilation during heating mode
- economizer should not be operating
- economizer should not be at full flow
- economizer operation may be detrimental
- economizer should not be off
- economizer should not be at part flow
- economizer is not throttling to maintain supply-air temperature
- mechanical cooling should not be off
- simultaneous heating and cooling
- mechanical cooling should not be on
- ventilation air flow is less than the minimum
- ventilation air flow is greater than maximum
- temperature sensor problem
