WBD Field Tests and Demonstrations
The Outdoor Air Economizer (OAE) module detects and diagnosis problems with the operation of air handling units (AHUs). OAE has been extensively field tested and demonstrated in private and public commercial buildings over the past several years. OAE found problems with many AHUs at all demonstration sites. The problems ranged from a simple set point deviation to improper implementation of controls. These field tests and demonstrations were funded by U.S. Department of Energy (Office of Building Technologies and Federal Energy Management Program) and California Energy Commission (Public Interest Energy Research).
